Starting from the YHA Coniston Holly How, this route heads up the Walna Scar road, past the Coniston Copper Mines, alongside Low Water, and up to the summit of the Old Man of Coniston. I had great weather on this walk and after having lunch and making myself a cup of tea with my stove at the top, I followed the ridge round to Brim Fell, Great How Crags and Swirl How, before making a small detour to add on Great Carrs. The descent then passes Levers Water and the YHA Coniston Coppermines before returning to the town. This walk has a decent amount of uphill but is absolutely worth it!
